Transit Windsor won’t reveal what discipline, if any, it meted out to a bus driver caught on video reading and driving with an iPad balanced on the steering wheel.
Patrick Delmore, director of operations, met with the driver Monday and would only say it’s been handled “appropriately.
“Because we’re in the public and they’re in the public, we don’t discuss forms of discipline when incidents take place,” said Delmore. “We assure everyone that it’s been dealt with and it’s been dealt with appropriately, and we keep that internal.”
Delmore said Transit Windsor uses “progressive discipline” based on the severity of the issue. The driver could face anything from a verbal warning to termination.
